Q & A with Jeremy:

Q: What is the genesis of your innovation?  How does it specifically relate to the environment and then connect also to the prevention of illnesses like we’re seeing with the coronavirus?

A:  I deal with many technologically advanced materials and the product that is changing the construction industry is Suber by Kolmer. Suber by Kolmer is a revolutionary patented coating that has many performance attributes. Suber by Kolmer, along with Kolmer’s patented antimicrobial paint, creates a coating that has thermal, acoustic, and fireproofing properties.  The product is a projectable cork coating that can be applied to most substrates. It is a thermal coating that reduces sound, is fireproof, and water-resistant. By utilizing conscious building techniques with technologically advanced coatings, we can improve our quality of life.

Being proactive in the building of where we live and work will allow us to create spaces that mitigate the spread of germs and reduces energy consumption. The formula to achieve this is simple and cost-effective.

Q:  You have a whole-picture theory around wellness that has to do with creating a safer and greener environment around us.  Can you share just a bit around that?

A:  I believe our personal wellness begins with where we spend most of our time. It is where we breathe our largest quantities of oxygen, where we relax, and where we work. By being proactive in our building formulas, we can utilize sophisticated coatings and techniques which will eliminate molds, mildews, and harmful bacterias. Small, conscious, decisions when dealing with building materials and systems can allow us to live a healthier and connected life. A home or business dwelling that is free of toxins while being energy efficient is the optimum environment to live life to the fullest.  Imagine hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living centers, senior activity centers, daycare facilities, schools, airports, and even airplanes, government/public buildings, and our own homes constructed so that we have optimum opportunity to thrive without the usual toxins that can invade a space and make us sick.  Imagine this now on a mass scale, so that we have less chance of spreading illness.  Knowing that it is environmentally friendly makes this type of construction choice almost choice-less.

Q:  Where do you see the impact of your innovation in the next year?

A:  We are providing a solution that will mitigate the spread of toxins and spreadable organisms, while also educating people on new and advanced construction techniques and coatings. We are working with engineers, architects, and developers in creating indoor environments that will change our quality of life.
