Q:  Can you explain the different ways GRC (Governance, Risk, & Compliance) interacts with the finance industry?

A:  GRC interacts with the finance industry through its focus on process solutions. The risk management process, assessment, management, and remediation is a key business process. Governance provides oversight of and strategic use of risk as a business advantage. Compliance puts the controls in place to manage risk.

Q:  What is ESG and who and how does it impact individuals?

A:  ESG, Environmental, Social, and Governance is an acronym for a wide variety of initiatives to help companies engage with a broad set of stakeholders. This engagement will not simply protect the company but will act as a business enhancer to drive more and greater profitability.

Q:  What is the Ethical Edge?

A:  The Ethical Edge puts forth that companies with more robust and effective compliance have a more efficient business process and greater profitability.

Q:  How can compliance drive greater profitability?

A:  The backbone of compliance is internal controls. Properly designed, internal controls give companies the ability to manage strategic risk more quickly and efficiently, allowing businesses to respond to greater business opportunities.
