Mary Kurek’s Remarks at the UN75 Day of the Girl Child and the Launch of YOUTHGETHER Global

In News by Mary Kurek

On Sunday, October 11th, the International Day of the Girl Child, Mary Kurek, CEO of Frontrunners Development, Inc., along with an incredibly distinguished panel, spoke about the challenges that still need addressing since the Beijing Declaration advocating girls’ and women’s rights worldwide. Kurek’s remarks were focused on “Reimagining the Beijing Declaration on the Girl Child Globally.”

The 2-hour virtual event included ambassadors, diplomats, and royalty from many nations around the globe – all who spoke eloquently and passionately about solving some of the atrocities and culturally-sustained customs that keep the girl child in a “less than” status in many areas of the world.

“We collectively work as a global community of caring advocates and activists utilizing whatever means available to us (whether voices, programs, investments, or media) to bring the value of the girl child (and thus, women) to a place of equality as a norm everywhere.”   Mary Kurek

The 10-minute recording of the remarks is available for viewing below.
