Igweshi Augustine is the Director of the Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development based in Nigeria. He is also the President of the African Transformer Institute. An experienced convener and multi-award-winning youth leader, Igweshi annually organizes the Global Youth Engagement Model United Nations (GYEMUN). The experience is a simulated UN Model whereby youth delegates will be expected to represent a country other than their own in creating diplomatic solutions and commentary on situations that reflect the country’s pressing challenges. This is not only an experience for the sake of the experience but a training ground for up-and-coming dignitaries and leaders. It is also significant enough for youth to use on their own CVs and applications for future leadership education.

Igweshi shares information about this year’s event with Frontrunners Innovate Producer and Host, Mary Kurek.  (18-minute video)
