This article is written to give the reader a snapshot of what is happening in our bodies and brains as we develop from being young children to adulthood. The purpose of this is then to introduce you to some initiatives you can take upon yourselves to enhance your mental health and overall resilience. These initiatives are to help you also understand how the social aspect of interacting with others also has an impact on our mental health.
Author: Clint Adams is a former Police Officer and counsellor who has been a Senior HR and Change Manager in various industries, including Victoria Police, Healthcare, Steel, Timber and working with Asylum seekers in Nauru and in PNG. He is also the author of Lighting The Blue Flame, a book written to help with Suicide Prevention. He currently works as a consultant to promote Mental Health and Suicide prevention initiatives.
