Former US Congressman Richard Swett Has a Unique Solution for Building Sustainable Economies

Former United States Congressman Richard Swett (also a former United States Ambassador to Denmark) spent the summer of 2021 visiting several African countries with the aim of figuring out the best opportunities to place his economic development solution. As the CEO of Climate Prosperity Enterprise Solutions Swett’s determination to create sustainable wealth-building systems by bringing together the right partners to lift communities from poverty is a serious mission. The solution he proposes combines tech with agriculture and expands into an entire smart ecosystem, and all of it is very well orchestrated to involve community ownership.

Ambassador Swett’s Bio:

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Ambassador Swett, a licensed architect, has forty years of experience in the architecture and energy fields. CPES has served as Project Manager for a $1.2 billion healthcare campus in Istanbul and is currently developing projects worldwide. He is the co-creator of the CPES4D development model.
Prior to establishing CPES, he was the Managing Principal of the DC office and was responsible for obtaining international contracts for Leo A. Daly Architects and Engineers – one of the top 10 US design firms at the time.
He worked as an alternative energy entrepreneur in the Northeast, building biomass power plants in New England.
He served as a member of the US House of Representatives from New Hampshire from 1991-1995. He then served as the US Ambassador to Denmark from 1998-2001.
While serving as Ambassador, he reorganized the embassy management, resulting in smoother transfers of information and cooperation between departments.
He was a contributing author for “A Nation Reconstructed”, 1997, and authored “Leadership by Design: Creating an Architecture of Trust”, 2005.
