Ambassador Kithsiri is a native of Sri Lanka who has spent years building and supporting schools in villages there and working as the country’s Ambassador to Qatar. Now, retired from diplomatic service and living in the US, Ambassador Kithsiri, recounts his experience as a caregiver of a parent with Alzheimer’s. That experience prompted him to build and operate Alzheimer’s and dementia care facilities in the US. No longer in ownership of the facilities, he still considers what he learned during those years and how that knowledge, coupled with his tech background, could support an innovative approach to solving some dementia-related problems for patients and caregivers.
Ambassador Kithsiri shares his rich story, impact work, and vision with Frontrunners Innovate Producer and Host, Mary Kurek and Co-Host, Ambassador Ghazala Khan.
